On April 4, 1912 he was united in marriage to Grace Atherton in Douglas, Wyoming.
For several years he was associated with a brother, J. C. Amspoker, in the ranching business; then he purchased and operated the Sage Creek Ranch northwest of Douglas which he owned up until the time of his death.
Survivors were his wife Grace; a daughter, Gertrude J. Sundquist of Douglas; two brothers, J. C. Amspoker of Denver and Ross Amspoker of Springview, Nebraska; a sister, Mrs. H. E. McKee of Gregory, S.D., and a number of nieces and nephews.
