Her survivors also include 5 sons, Clinton Carpenter and Mickey "Ace" Carpenter, both of Kansas City, James Smalley, Placerville, Calif; Fred Smalley Jr. Alma, Neb; and Ralph Smalley, Forsyth, Mo; 6 daughters, Dorothy Vincent, Corpus Christi, Texas; Betty Flathers and Helen Katz, both of Lake Tahoe, Calif; Mert Winters, Kansas City, Laura Brown, Lee's Summit, and Sue Bowers, Gardner, Kansas. 5 other sisters, Laura Jones, Nevada, MO; Bessie Stowers, Eldon, MO; Abbie Long, Easton, Kan; Wilma Britt, Dallas, and Joy Elmore, Drexel Hill, Pa, 32 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, and 5 great, great-grandchildren.
