MRS. EDNA MAY DEVENY
EDINA, Mo. — Mrs. Edna May Deveny, 76, died at 3:20 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 23, 1972) at the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina where she had been living since July 7.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Hudson Rimer Funeral Home, Edina. The Rev. Darrel Whitmer of Shelbyville, Mo., will officiate. Burial will be at the new Catholic Cemetery, Edina.
Mrs. Deveny was born in Shelby County Feb. 24, 1896, a daughter of Andrew and Mary Angeline Stewart. She married John J. Deveny in Edina January of 1960. He died in May, 1966. She was a member of the Christian Church, Shelby County in Missouri.
Surviving are a brother, Manley (Jack) Stewart of Edina and a sister, Mrs. Estel (Nellie) Gibson of LaGrange, Mo. Two brothers preceded her in death.
