Mrs. Maddox died July 13, 2001, at her daughter's residence. Born July 10, 1923, in De Witt, Arkansas, she lived in Madison for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Chapel United Methodist Church of Madison.
Mrs. Maddox was retired from the state of Ohio where she worked as a secretary for the Painesville office of the Ohio Department of Transportation. She also was employed at the Industrial Rayon Corp. of Painesville for many years prior to working for the state.
Survivors include ; two sons; two daughters: three sisters; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Her husband, Lenwin Elmo Maddox, died in 1991.
Her parents, John Wesley and Ruby Katherine (Reed) Watkins; brothers, Ray and Clyde Melvin Watkins; and granddaughter, Christine Marie Skok, are also deceased.
The Rev. Vernon Shepherd of the Chapel United Methodist Church, Madison, officiated the services.
