Amber was the sweetest kitty there ever was. She was an American Short hair Tortoise shell cat. She was loving as a kitten and remained so all her life. Amber shared her life with us and our other animals and she was always so sweet with them. She was just like a dog and would great us at the door when we came home. Amber was our first cat and she taught me there was no reason to fear cats.
Our darling used to get into the dirty clothes and steal socks out of it. She would then line them up all along the wall and brag about it. She had the loudest meow when she did it that my husband Clair and I would wake up.
We took Amber to the vet Friday and she said Amber had cancer of the intestines. The vet said we could wait until Monday to decide what to do but that she was not going to get any better only worse. Our little girl had dropped down to just under 4 pounds. They had been treating her for a thyroid problem. Turns out that was not the problem after all.
Precious sweet girl that she was left this world on her own tonight. Our son Jim and our grandson Wesley was over early to say goodbye. Our daughter Paula and our oldest granddaughter Sara came over to say goodbye this evening. My daughter Paula was holding Amber when she left this world. We were all around telling Amber how much we loved her and what a joy she was all these years.
Our hearts ache, the tears fall, and we will miss her so much. Amber was our baby for almost 16 years. The years flew by so fast we do not know where the time went. We know that she is with My minature Schnauzer Snookie 1994-2004 and Our chihuahua Chili Bean 1994-2004 at the Rainbow Bridge waiting for us. Snookie loved Amber but Chili Bean loved her more.
