Nicholas is the son of Johann Daniel & Maria Margaretta Marstellar Warlick

He was married to Anna Barbara Eaker and they had 5 children. She remarried after Nicholas' death to John Hildebran.

Nicholas was a Tory, loyal to the English Crown, served as a Tory Captain, and died fighting for what he thought was right.

He and his brother Phillip both died in the Battle at Ramsour's Mill.

In memory of Nicholas Warlick, a loyal subject of the King, and captain of Volunteers, who, with his brother, Philip Warlick and Israel Sain, died in the battle of Ramsour's Mill here, and were buried in one grave, 20 June 1780.
