Ada Schlechter, nee Worthington, died Monday, July 1, 2013, in the Lutheran Community at Telford, Telford, PA, where she had resided since 1998. Previous to that, she lived for 51 years in Chalfont, PA.
She was the wife of the late Camillus G. Schlechter who died in 1998.
Born in LaMott, PA, she was the daughter of the late Seth Albert and Mabel (Parker) Worthington.
She was a Registered Nurse, graduate of Abington Memorial Hospital, Class of 1936.
She is survived by two grandchildren, Kristen E. Griffiths, of West Grove, PA, and Ian Charles Rose, of Portland, OR; two great grandchildren, Connor John and Emma Rose Griffiths, of West Grove; a son-in-law, Kenneth W. Rose, of North Wales, PA; a brother, Samuel James "Jim" Worthington, of Ambler, PA; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Gottschall and her husband John, of Lansdale, PA. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara C. Rose, in 2005, and eight brothers and sisters.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at 10:00 AM in St. Agnes Catholic Church, 445 N. Main Street, Sellersville, PA, where family and friends may call from 9:15 to 9:45 AM. Interment will be held privately in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ambler, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Road, Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422.
Arrangements are by the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, PA.
