DECATUR - Garnet Louise Billingsley, 76, of Decatur died 11:25 a.m. Sunday (April 19, 1992) in St. Mary's Hospital. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger Funeral Home, with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: St. Paul's United Methodist Church or St. Mary's Hospital.

Mrs. Billingsley was born in Beecher City, daughter of C.M. and Lillias Dial Cummings. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church and was a member of Delta Theta Tau Sorority. She worked for Standard Oil Co. and was retired from Millikin National Bank. She married Henry C. Billingsley in 1942. He died in 1979.

Surviving are her children, Janet A. Harper and husband William of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; Linda K. Niedringhaus and husband Landon of Decatur; Henry C. Billingsley and wife Sandra of Kenosha, Wis.; William M. Billingsley and wife Carolyn of Mount Zion; Thomas L. Billingsley and wife Kathy of Decatur Nancy L. Amato of Oakbrook Terrace; James Billingsley and wife Marcia of Decatur; Mary F. Hartman and husband Randy of Decatur; David F. Billingsley and wife Sharon of Decatur; 16 grandchildren; brothers, Leonard Cummings of Forsyth, Ned Cummings of Decatur, Clarence Cummings of Decatur; sister, Mrs. Wilber Dean (Pricilla) Greer of Decatur.

Her husband, one son, parents, one brother and one sister preceded her in death.
