Philippini' came to this country with her parents, Mr and Mrs. John Gauch, when but seven years of age and settled on a farm three miles south of Belleville on the Smithton road then known as the Georgetown road.
To the Gauch-Lorey union were born nine children, three boys and six girls. By 1930, all had passed into the Great Beyond except Mrs. Minnie Foster, of 515 North Church street; Mrs. Sophie Braun, wife of Henry Braun, of Guthrie, Okla.; and Miss Johanna Lorey, of 519 North Church street.
