Jacob Mohler Passes Away
Jacob Mohler, an aged and respectable citizen of the community, passed away at his home in Kaw township last Sunday after a long illness. The deceased had reached the ripe old age of 85 years. The day of his funeral was also the anniversary of his birth, as it was 85 years to a day since he was born in Cumberland county, Pa. he came here twenty years ago and has made this place his home almost continuously ever since.
He leaves a wife and nine children to mourn his demise. The funeral services took place at Kaw Valley church and the remains were followed to the grave by a large concourse of friends and acquaintances. Mr. Mohler was a good citizen and friend, a kind husband and indulgent father and was universally liked and respected. The bereaved family have the sympathy of everybody.
