Joseph Thomas and Marie Louise (Ribnikar) Sweet were married Sept 16, 1933 in the Immaculate Conception Church, North Park Ave, Chicago.
They were proud parents of two sons; Joseph Michael Sweet, born 1937 (Ilene Monica nee Wright), and James Noel Sweet, born 1946 (Sharon Anders nee Hodge).

They were also proud grand-parents.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.
Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

"Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep"
A Mary Frye Poem (1932) that was read by son Jim Sweet during Marie's funeral.
