BENNETT-CHITWOOD - Mrs. Penny L. Bennett-Chitwood, aged 45, of Gratten, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011. Preceded in death by her mother, Jacqueline; aunt, Gail Friesner; uncle, Robert Cook; grandparents; stepmother, Toni Piar. Survived by loving husband, Mel; father, William; two sisters, Lisa Piar, Deedee (David) Kurchinski; several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She will be remembered for her love of animals and gardening. Visitation will be at Alto United Methodist Church at 11433 Kirby St., Alto, Michigan, on Monday, March 21, 2011 between 6 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial service will be at Alto United Methodist Church on Tuesday at 2:00 p.m., March 22, 2011.
