Susan Nary's obituary sent to me October 14, 1982, by her granddaughter, Hazel Haggard.

Susan Jewett-Nary was born in Northfield, Vt. July 24, 1836. At the age of 16 she was baptized and united with the Methodist Church. She was united in marriage to William W. Nary on Jan 1, 1858, to whom 4 children were born, two of whom are still living: Albert W. Nary of Loma Linda, Calif., and Minnie M. Dygert of Maple Lake, Minn.
Immediately after marriage she settled on a farm nestled between the Green Mountains of Vermont, until 1863 when she and her family emigrated to what was then the far West, locating in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and from there to Minneapolis in 1864 where they remained for 2 years, after which they came to Wright County, taking up a homestead in the town of Marysville. The family was here but a short time when called back to Vermont to settle up an estate. The good old state of Minnesota had it's attractions, so the family returned and bought a piece of land in Albion, where, after many years of hard labor, a comfortable home was made, only to be broken by the death of the deceased's husband June 8, 1894. Remaining a widow until 1897, she married John D. Rackliff, living with him 6 years, when he passed away. Again she took upon herself the marriage vows and was joined with Frank Heaton in 1905, and once more she became a widow in 1917. Since then she has made her home in Maple Lake Village living with her daughter, Mrs. Thmoas Dygert, where she died June 28, 1926 at the age of 89 years, 11 months, and 4 days.
She leaves 2 children, 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, besides her many near and dear friends.
