Below is a brief biography taken from Lebrary.com:
Biography

A Lake Tahoe native, Marni resided on the
North Shore in Incline Village until recently.
She lived there with her husband Randy and son,
Mason. They also shared their home with two
dogs, Kiona and Sequoia; two cats, Khuma and
Cashmere and two fish, Ponderosa and Keanu.
By all accounts Ponderosa is defying nature,
he's a carnival fish Mason won when he was
four, he's now eighteen. Being an avid ballet
dancer until an injury halted her dancing
career, she'd always channeled her creative
juices on the side with writing. Now having
hung up her toe shoes, her love of a good
mystery and history all over the world has
become her full time occupation. In the spring
of 2008, after self publishing her first novel,
Glass Hooves, she and her husband made the
decision to leave the Tahoe basin and travel
the country promoting the book. There have been
a few to changes to our family since that author
bio was written, Ponderosa did finally pass
away justbefore we embarked on our trip and
Keanu chose to stay with a friend who had a
non-moving house, probably a better decision
for a gold fish! It's been an adventure to be
sure, we drove up through Oregon, stopped to
stay with Randy's family for about a month since
we had no idea when we'd ever be on the west
coast again before continuing into Washington.
We unfortunately lost Kiona in Oregon, she was
after all about eleven, we think, we adopted
her from the pound years ago and they couldn't
tell us exactly how old she was at the time.
I'm sure she followed along in spirit. We've
tried to include parts of this country that
we all wanted to see along the way, in that
list was the beautiful mountains of Montana
and a little town named Superior that may
very well be the friendliest place in America,
Mount Rushmore, Independence Missouri, the
jumping off location for many of the covered
wagons that traversed the plains in the 1800's
and Nashville, country music USA. By the time
we pulled through that part of the country
however it was 10 degrees below zero in Kansas
City one day and the decision was unanamous -
head for warmth, so naturally we set our
sights on Florida. Somewhere along the way,
our son Mason decided his future was in the sky.
His grandfather, my Dad, was a Pan Am international
pilot, so I guess he comes by it naturally.
As soon as we were relatively settled in
Florida, he enlisted in the
Army Reserves and is almost finished with
Basic training, after that he will go onto his
educationaland technical training to become a
helicopter pilot. And yes his Dad and I are very,
very proud of him!!!! Now Randy spends his days
with fresh water American Alligators, he says
its safer than hanging out with me when I'm in
the middle of another murder mystery, which I
usually am seven days a week. Currently I am
finishing Buffalo Nickels and after doing a
short promotional stint for it, I'll begin
putting together In the Event of my Death.
