Funeral services will be held Monday, May 31, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Gassett Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Shane Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Pine View Memorial Gardens with full military honors. Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.
Mr. Diaz is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ulrica Tyus Diaz, sons, Raymond (Karen) Diaz of Denver, CO; Kenneth Diaz of Parachute, CO; Don Diaz of Sacramento, CA; Rodney (Jody) Diaz of Southbury, CT; daughters, Teresa (Chaz) Kempter of Deatsville, AL; Cathy Diaz of Montgomery ,AL; sister, Sarah (Harold) Brown of Marathon, NY; 16 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Generoso & Josephine Suarez Diaz, brothers, Angel, Joseph, Emilio, Frank, Henry, Jesse, Raymond, and sister, Josephine Wight all of New York.
Pallbearers will be Richard Diaz, Jeremiah Diaz, Will Morgan, Nathan Kempter, Michael Diaz, Kevin Morgan, Kris Diaz, and Mitch Roberson.
Visitation will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Gassett Funeral Home.
