"Oscar A Johnson of Corry died Sunday night in Corry Memorial Hospital following a short illness. He was born Sept 20, 1886, in West Springcreek. He also lived in Sparta Township and graduated from Sparta High School in 1904. Mr Johnson taught school for five years at Moffat, State Lot and Harbor Half. In 1956 he retired after 45 years with the Post Office at Corry. He was an active member of the Corry Methodist Church and the Sparta Grange. Mr Johnson is survived by his wife, the former Agnes Bunce, whom he married Jan 9, 1915, at Corry; three daughters - Mrs John (Edna) Clark of Bradford, Mrs R Wendell (Ruth) Hall of Hilton, NY, and Mrs Russell (Gertrude) Clark of Upland, Ind; and 10 grandchildren. Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home in Corry ... and attend the funeral service at 2 pm Wednesday in the Corry First Methodist Church with Rev Walter Gilliland officiating. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery."
