There are discrepancies in death records indicating that George married two separate Margarethe's....A Margarethe Kopmier (1826- ?) and a Margarethe Berner (1829-1898). The first was mother of Sebold and Paul, The second was mother of John, Cunigunda/Cunignude, and Anna, George, Maria, Lena, Katherine, and Phillip? It is unknown where in Wisconsin Margarethe Kopmeir was buried. She died in 1898 after 48 years of marriage, so the marriage occurred about 1850 +/- 1 year.
