Louise M. Patterson of New Windsor, a retired long time employee of Columbus Trust Co. and longtime area resident entered into rest Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Aaron Manor in Fairport, NY. She was 89.
The daughter of the late Stephen and Bessie Cooke Quackenbush, Louise was born April 23, 1921 in Nyack. She attended Grace United Methodist Church in Newburgh and was active in the Zonta club.

Louise is survived by her sons, James Smith of Venice, FL, and Douglas Smith of St. Augustine, FL; step-son, Kenneth Patterson of Denver, CO, stepdaughters, Gail Patterson of New Windsor and Lynne Hall of Alfred, NY; sisters, Barbara Devitt of Mountainville and Helen Annan of New Windsor, as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands, Douglas Smith and Kenneth O. Patterson.

Visitation will take place Saturday, April 9 from 9-10 a.m. at White & Venuto Funeral Home, 188 N. Plank Rd. Town of Newburgh. Funeral service will follow visitation. Pastor Evelyn McDonald will officiate. Burial will follow service in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Mountainville.
