He was born Dec. 6, 1936, in Maroa, to Arthur and Marjorie (Bramel) Andes. He married Judy Larsen on Feb. 14, 1959, in Woodstock.
For 40 years he worked at Curran Contractors as a heavy machine operator. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 150 union. He served his country in the National Guard. He was a longtime member of the Woodstock Moose. He enjoyed NASCAR and the Chicago Bears. He loved the outdoors. He most of all enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He will be missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Judy Andes; two sons, Scott (fiancée, Amy) Andes and Dave "Bubba" Andes; a sister, Alice Sanchez; and a brother, Duane (Linda) Andes.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday, April 18, until the funeral at 1 p.m. at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park.
