Jasper Marion Glover, one of the beloved older residents of Wheeler, passed away last Monday morning at 12:25 in a Shamrock hospital after an illness of only a few weeks. Mr. Glover had been active despite his age until he suffered a stroke only a short time back. Mr. Glover was born February 10, 1868 in Dalton, Georgia, and passed away at Shamrock, Feb. 25, 1952, at the age of 84 years and 15 days. Until about eight years ago Mr. and Mrs. Glover made their home at Bethany, Okla. Since that time they have resided in Wheeler. Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at 5:00 o'clock at the Wheeler Methodist church with Rev. Gene Hudnall, pastor of the Wheeler Nazarene Church, in charge. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the cemetery at Bethany, Okla. where his remains were laid to rest. Richerson Funeral Home of Shamrock was in charge of arrangements. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Susie A. Glover of Wheeler; three sons, W.M. of Spearman, C.L. of Hamilton, and M.L. of Pampa; one daughter, Mrs. H.G. Smith of Shamrock; two brothers, A.L. Glover of Wooster, Ark. and Steve Glover of Guy, Ark.; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Serving as pall bearers were: W.L. Erwin, Ira Pearson of Spearman, C.J. Meek, Watson Burgess, Henry Risner and Lawrence Dossett of Spearman. Named as honorary pall bearers were: John R. Reed, E.T. Cosper, E.E. Farmer, Ed Grimes and Jim Risner.
