Homemaker AUGUSTA, Ga.- Mrs. Bettie Jean Wickum Alden, loving wife of the late Mr. John W. Alden, entered into rest on Saturday, July 3, 2004 at the residence. Survivors include her children, Dr. Susan E. Alden of Rock Island, Ill.; son, John R. Alden and his wife, Iris of Grovetown; Roxann A. Church and her husband, Douglas of High Point, N.C.; brother, Richard Wickum and his wife, Lori of Moline, Ill.; sister, Eraine Perron and her husband, Joe of Fairfield Bay, Ark.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Hatcher Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jerry Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be J. Randall Alden, David Alden, Jeffery Alden, Brian Church, Seth Clifford and Lance Poindexter. Mrs. Alden was born in Kenyon, Minn. to the late Obert and Helen Jones Wickum. She was very active in the Homemakers Association and loved to paint. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Hatcher Funeral Home. Augusta, Ga.
