Eli Hamlet/Hamblet was the son of Jonathan Hamblet and Elizabeth Richardson of Dracut MA. He married Mary Richardson in Dracut 2 Apr 1804 and they had two children in that town: Mary and Charles R. They removed to Brownville, ME, where Dana R., Anna, Ephraim Richardson, Joseph Bradley and Laura Jane Hamlet were baptized in the Church of Christ in Brownville. In 1832 Eli and his wife were excommunicated, but she was shortly thereafter restored to membership. The church record of this event makes highly interesting reading! Of the children, Mary and Laura died in Brownville, Dana and Joseph Bradley died in Wright Co., MN; Ephraim died in Beloit, WI; Charles R. died in Dracut, MA. Anna is surely the Annette Boober who died in Milo, ME, in 1902 and whose death record names her father as Eli Hamlet. Wife Mary is buried next to Eli. Where his parents and most of his siblings are buried is unknown, but the graves of three sisters and a brother have been located and registered on Find a Grave:
Elizabeth Darling, Lucinda Bancroft, Faney Nelson, and James Hamlet.
