Born April 30, 1904 in Stavanger, Norway to Johan and Julia Nygaard. He married Dagmar Sofia Andersen April 21, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a general contractor and carpenter, building many homes in the Salt Lake valley with all of the home owners being very satisfied.He is survived by his wife; and two sons, Richard (Ellen) Nygaard; and Henry (Grace Ann) Nygaard; nine grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by daughter, Esther Lyla Nygaard; and five sisters.
He will be missed greatly by his loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday Nov. 16, 1992, 12 noon, at the Cottonwood Mortuary Chapel, 4670 South Highland Drive, where friends may call from 6-7 p.m. Sunday evening and one hour prior to service on Monday.
Interment, Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
