Gallagher was born July 23, 1924 in Richland County, the son of Joy M. and Dollie (Walter) Gallagher. He married Loreda Williams April 16, 1948 in Hopkinsville, Ky.
He was a technician for 32 years for Atlas Wire Line. He was a member of the Immanuel United Methodist Church, VFW, American Legion, Richland County Historical Society and Genealogical Society. He was a World War II U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, of Olney; a son, Jeff Gallager and wife, Gerry of Sibley; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Jill) Morian of Centralia; a sister, Doris Buckels of Bradenton, Fla.; his mother, Dollie Gallagher of Bradenton, Fla.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
