Hazel B. (Woods) Ginn of Lucas, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, on Tuesday, May 18, 1993. Hazel was born November 17, 1906 in Lucas County, Iowa to Austin and Catherine (Perkins) Woods.

She attended Prairie View grade school and graduated from Lucas High School in 1924.

In 1926, she was married to Clifford Ginn. To this union five children were born: Frank of Lucas, Gordon and wife Norma of Des Moines, Gerald and wife Norma of Des Moines, Beth and husband John Rouse of Chariton, and Margaret and husband Gene Bayer of Glidden.

Preceding her in death were her husband in 1977, four sisters and four brothers, as well as a grandson, John Douglas Rouse.

Hazel is survived by her five children; two brothers, Kenneth Woods and wife Theo of Russell and Burdette Woods and wife Christine of Denver, Colo.; two sisters-in-law, Laura Woods of Denver, Colo., and Dorothy Woods of California; nine grandsons and six granddaughters as well as 23 great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.

Hazel was a member of the Lucas Presbyterian Church. She was active in her church and community as long as her health allowed. Her passing will leave a void in many lives.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 22, at the Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. Sara Palmer officiating. Burial was in the Fry Hill Cemetery. Serving as bearers were her nine grandsons.
