Mr. Charles LaVerne Blystone, Sr., died December 14, 2009 at the VA Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. Mr. Blystone was born in the Panama Canal Zone, a son of Elsie Zona Aruda Blystone, Aiken, and the late Arthur Leroy Blystone, Sr. He was a resident of Aiken since 1963, and was a heavy equipment mechanic for Three Rivers Solid Waste Authority. He was a member of the NRA, and was proud to be known as a jack-of-all-trades. He could fix anything. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his beloved wife, Nevada Ruth Geary Blystone; a daughter, Denise (Kenneth) Arnett Blystone-Hogan, Aiken; two sons, Charles LaVerne Blystone, Jr., Aiken, Travis Dean (Ootie) Blystone, Aiken; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Marvin Carl (Lynda) Blystone, Aiken; sister in law, Glenda (the late Arthur Blystone, Jr.) Blystone, Aiken; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Interment was in Aiken Memorial Gardens.
