My dad was a World War II Vet. Having served in the Navy Seabees..... Ray was a really good and honest man. He was a good husband and father. He was an extremely hard worker all his life, leaving school to support his family when his father was unable to work for a time. He was a well driller and worked until he had a heart attack in 1972. He stood out in all kinds of weather, sometimes until dark to make the living to support his family. He also repaired pumps. He learned the well drilling trade from his father Harold. Still yet he worked at carpenter work, yard work, and did stained glass which he taught his daughter, namely me, and he was a good grandfather too. He could figure out anything, think about it a while and just go and make it. He was amazing. Daddy was a gentle man of few words but he was always there for you. He was the son of Harold Lister and Flossie Hazel Kirk Lister. He was married to Ruth Boyer Lister Aug 18, 1945 in Henderson KY and they had three children, Lynne (Ream),now Jackie (Randel) and Steven, are deceased.
You are missed so much Daddy.
