Mother was an only child and was the apple of her father's eye for sure and definately her Mom's little sweetheart. When they came to Thorntown she was always around her father's hatchery when possible and so she was right up town in Thorntown and there were lots of kids to play with. She had many friends as she grew up and had many photos of her with friends as a teen and young adult. She was a very good cook and could make things look special and she really tried to do all she could for her kids, including making many of the clothes us girls wore. We got to take piano lessons and be in the band at school. She helped Dad in his business dealings doing the book work. She also had a greenhouse for several years which was a success. She and Dad, Harley Raymond Lister were married on August 15, 1945 in Henderson, KY. They had three children. Lynne, Jackie and Steve who are deceased.
