HOLMES - Passed away December 9, 1960, at the Vancouver General Hospital, Edgar Milton Holmes, in his 83rd year, beloved husband of Clara Alice Holmes of 1627 E. 36th Ave., Vancouver. Also survived by 3 sons, Percy Clifford Holmes, Richmond, B.C.; William Nicol Holmes, Regina, Sask., and Raymond Milton Holmes, Kamloops, B.C.; 4 daughters, Mrs. Sam (Ruby) Smythe, Vancouver, Mrs. Marion Wright, Vancouver, Mrs. William (Vivian) Smith, Ottawa, and Mrs. Gideon (Beatrice) Bitz, North Surrey; 17 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Ruby Hyatt, Pillbury, Ont.; also nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral service Monday, December 12 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Harold Edwards Ltd., 705 West Broadway. Rev. J. Melvin officiating. Interment Forest Lawn.
