Mrs. Sherlene Trammell Carroll, age 54, of Lyerly, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at her residence.
Mrs. Carroll was born in Trion, GA on October 12, 1956, daughter of the late Willie Trammell and Ailene Walters Trammell. She had been employed with Wiretech Industries and enjoyed being with and helping raise her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carroll preceded in death by her brothers, Jr. Trammell and Sherman Trammell.
Mrs. Carroll is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy Trammell, Summerville, Mark Shane & Kim McGuire, Summerville, and James & Freida Howell, Trion; step-sons, Robbie & Lisa Carroll, Trion, and Lance & Amanda Carroll, Armuchee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray Trammell, Joe and Charlene Trammell, and Ernest and Dale Trammell all of Trion; sister, Evalene Trammell (Eddie Williams); grandchildren, Devon McGuire, Levi McGuire, Dylan Ward, Ashley Howell, Bella Howell, Courtney Trammell, best friends Evelyn & David Ward, nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Carroll will be held Friday, February 25, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of the Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Carver officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shane McGuire, Jamie Howell, Jeremy Trammell, Robbie Carroll, Lance Carroll, "Boose" Ward, Gary Gilreath. Honorary pallbearers will be William "Poot" Ragland, and David "Squirrell" Ward.
Mrs. Carroll will be in state at the Mason Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
