Denis Leroy Leeds, of Longmont, CO, passed away on April 5, 2011, at his home.
Denis was born in Kansas City, MO on March 3, 1950, to Lloyd Roy Leeds and Martha Marie Hiland Leeds. Following graduation from Center High School, Denis joined the United States Navy, serving on the USS Cayuga, Okinawa, and Washburn.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Haviland Leeds, of Longmont, CO; his mother, Martha Hiland Leeds of Kansas City, MO; nine sisters; numerous nieces and nephews; and a large extended family.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 23, at Summit View Church of the Nazarene. Contributions may be made to the Leeds Nursing Foundation Scholarship, New Mexico Junior College, 5317 Lovington Highway, Hobbs, New Mexico 88240.
