Veronica "Tudy" M. Sullivan West 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 20, 2011. She was born August 31, 1927 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Patrick J. and Sarah E. (Howard) Sullivan. During her days as a homemaker she was never afraid to tackle home improvement projects and enjoyed baking and trying new recipes. After her children were grown she went to work at Scecina Memorial High School and then as a secretary for Haymaker, Hirsch & Fink Law Office. She was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church, and the women's club. She was active with Meals on Wheels, and in her later years she attended Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Veronica was the widow of Paul A. West. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Lindsey, Sharon (Darrell) Conners, Karen (Brian) Lyons, Paul J. (Cindy), John P. (Janet), and Thomas M. (Debra) West; sister, Theresa Lotz, 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 26, at 9:30 a.m. in Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. in Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 25 from 2 to 8 p.m. in the mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Flower Catholic Church, St. Vincent dePaul Society or the Alzheimer's Association. Tudy will be always remembered for her humor, kindness and generosity.
