OSCEOLA - Fay C. Hare, 84, residing in Osceola, IN, passed away in her home at 4:20 a.m. on Easter morning, April 24, 2011, from respiratory failure after an extended illness. Mrs. Hare was born on January 16, 1927, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Rafael and Kathryn (Fahey) Sinibaldi. She had lived in our local area for the past 20 years, moving from Seaville, NJ. On September 8, 1952, in Philadelphia, she married Thomas J. Hare, who survives. Along with her loving husband, Thomas, survivors include her three daughters, Kathleen M. (Jerry) Hershey of Hope, IN, Colleen E. Sweeney of Osceola and Christine A. (David) Iafrato of Carmel, IN; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Hershey, Moira Hershey, Thomas Sweeney, Ian Sweeney, Brendan Sweeney, Daniel Iafrato, Robert Hare-Iafrato and Patrick Iafrato. One sister, Kathryn Sinibaldi Pang, preceded her sister in death. Mrs. Hare was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed decorating, quilting, and designing jewelry. She was a member of the Christ Child Society. A memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, April 25, 2011, in St. Joseph Chapel at Holy Cross College. Rev. Kenneth Grabner, C.S.C., will officiate. Private burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, South Bend, is assisting with arrangements.
