James Andrew Loy, 52, of 505 W. Elm St a carpenter, died at 4:20 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital Medical Center. He was taken to the Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta. He was born Nov. 18, 1925, at Sewellton, Ky., a son of Mervin and Effie Mae Bertram Loy. He married Wilma Jean Hout April 16, 1949, at Atlanta. Surviving are his father, Hanahan, SC.; three sons, Gerald Andrew Loy, Dallas; Robert Allan Loy, LeRoy; and Steven Eugene Loy, Building D, Village Green Apartments; one grandson; four brothers, John A., of Missouri; William B., Atlanta; Thomas Fay, Lafayette, Ind.; and Peter Fay, of California; six sisters, Alveretta Pille, of Florida; Ema Kregor, Collinsville; Elsie Curtis, Atlanta; Eva Means, New Castle, Ind.; Rhoda Fay and Joan Johnston, both of Florida. Mr. Loy was a member of the First Christian Church of Bloomington, the Masonic Lodge and the Bloomington Consistory. He was a veteran of World War II and was a member of the VFW. "
