Victim of Gary Ridgway, The Green River Killer

April had moved from Spokane to Seattle. She was seventeen when she disappeared in August of 1983. She was last seen when police spoke to her in the 7300 block of Rainer Avenue South. Her remains were found August 30 and September 2 in a wooded area near Snoqualmie, about 26 miles east of Seattle, by searchers sifting dirt through screens. April was a murder victim of Gary Leon Ridgway, known as "The Green River Killer" who was responsible for the murder of 49 women in Seattle, Washington, between 1982 and 1984. He was found guilty for committing her murder
