Maureen was raised with her eight siblings. She was last seen in September 1983. She had only a month before left the family home to live in an apartment, she was nineteen. Maureen had a love for animals and nature. She had hoped to one day work with children. Her sister wrote a book about Maureen and the effects it had on the family called "The Thirty-Ninth Victim: A Memoir". Maureen's remains were found in May of 1986. She was a murder victim of Gary Leon Ridgway, known as "The Green River Killer" who was responsible for the murders of 49 women in Seattle, Washington, between 1982 and 1984.
