Robert last saw his daughter Cynthia on August 10, 1982, working as a cook at a South Seattle barbecue restaurant. Five days later, a man looking for bottles in the Green River found her body beside victim, Marcia Chapman, 31. Both were strangled. Cynthia was only 17 years old. Her family stated she was a loving and caring person and had lived in a small apartment in Rainier Valley. Cynthia was a murder victim of Gary Leon Ridgway, known as "The Green River Killer" who was responsible for the murder of 49 women in Seattle, Washington, between 1982 and 1984.
