Charles was a 1958 graduate of Sulphur Springs High School. He worked at Borg Warner in Muncie for 32 years until his retirement in 1993. Charles loved spending time with his loving wife, Goldie, and his beloved dog, Lindsey M. Lyall. He enjoyed working in his yard, spending time shopping with his wife and going places they liked together. He loved his home and spending time with his family and friends. Charles will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 26 years, Goldie Lyall; a son, Tony Lyall (wife-Megan) of New Castle; a stepson, Danny Baker (wife-Sue) of New Castle; a brother, Ed Lyall (wife-Claudia) of Middletown; six stepchildren; three grandchildren, Evan Lyall, Aaron Lyall, and Madison Lyall, all of New Castle; and two stepgrandsons, Jeremy Prater and Michael Copley, both of New Castle.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Greg Lyall; a half-brother, Dennis Payne; a niece, Mary Jo Lyall; and a stepgrandson, Danny Jack Baker.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at Sproles Family Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Becker officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
