A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church for Betty Vail Kibodeaux McDathe, 72, who died December 28, 2009 at the Heart Hospital in Lafayette.
Fr. Gary Schexnayder will be officiating for the services with Fr. James Brady concelebrating. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to the time of service. A rosary will be led by Fr. James Brady at 6:30p.m. Friday. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
She is survived by one son, Steven "Steve-O" Kibodeaux and his wife Gwen of Crowley; two sisters, Sylvia Lamm of Crowley, and Marie Reid of Goose Creek, SC; two brothers, Milton, Jr. and Donald Vail both of Crowley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Betty is preceded in death by her first husband, George Kibodeaux, Jr.; second husband, Russell Harry McDathe; and her parents, Milton and Cora Duhon Vail, Sr.
