He was a graduate of Schaghticoke HS, went to RPI and was employed by the New York Central Railroad as a surveyor and engineer. At the time of his death he had his office in the LaSalle Street Station in Chicago and was chief engineer of bridges and grade crossings for the area between Chicago and Buffalo.

And he was a wonderful grandfather who taught a little girl how to play cards when she was only 4.
