Joshua "Dock" Carey was born in Ohio in 1842. He was a Union soldier during the civil war.(Yikes...he was a YANKEE) On January 11, 1881 he married Cordelia Waters in Jackson County, Missouri. He served with the 89th Ohio Infantry and joined the army at Camp Dennison, Ohio in 1862 at the age of 20. He was mustered out on June 7th, 1865.
