Austin; brother of Mrs. Lillian Ward of New York city; also survived by several grandchildren.
Funeral from the Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 105 Vliet Blvd. Cohoes, Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. Mass of the resurrection at St. Maris's Church at 9:30. Internment St. Joseph's Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 P.M.

E. J. Austin Dies, Rites Saturday
Edward J. Austin of 63 Garner St., Cohoes, died Thursday in Veterans Hospital, Albany, following a long illness. He had resided in Cohoes since his retirement 11 years ago as a quartermaster Boiler-maker at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, where he was employed for 35 years. A comunicant of St. Marie's Church, Cohoes, he was the husband of the Late Laura Santspree Austin. He is survived two daughters, Mrs. George Griffin of Brooklyn and Sister Shirley Anne Austin, C. P. of Cohoes; a sister Mrs. Lillian Ward of New York City and seven grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 9:a.m. from St. Marie's Church, where a Requiem Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated. Internment wll be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Waterford.

Corperal Austin, Company B, One Hundred and Fifth, United States Infantry, returned from France in 1919,and was recommended for the Distinguished Service Cross by his commanding officer for exceptional bravery while acting as
a company runner in France.
