Clarence Orvel "Joe" Adair, 86 of Redbird, Missouri died Wednesday afternoon, March 2, 2005, in the Life Care Centers of Sullivan. Joe was born on December 27,1918, in Cuba. He is the son of the late James and Mary Jane Adair.

Joe worked as a truck driver, livestock hauler, and horse trainer. He owned and operated the mercantile in Redbird.

Surviving Joe is his wife Agnes of Sullivan and a daughter Jomina Huber with her husband Lloyd "Butch" of Redbird. Also surviving are three sisters Virginia, Nell and Hazel. There are six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Joe is preceded in death by three sons, infant son James Ray, Clarence Lee and Virgil Dale. Also preceding Joe are five brothers and sisters, Austin, Arthur, Dorthey, Seth and Jude.

Services for Joe were held on Saturday, March 5 from Sassmann's Funeral Home in Bland. Interment was in Schmitt Cemetery south of Gerald.

Arrangements were under the direction of Sassmann's Funeral Services, Inc. Belle-Bland
