Kathryn Jane was born to Henry Consider "Cidney" Kempton Southworth and Daisy Dallin in Provo, Utah. She was proud of her father and his lumber store, and was sad when he passed away when she was very young.
After her father's death, Kathryn's family moved to Salt Lake City where her brother, Kenneth, was a merchant. Her two older sisters became teachers and helped support the family.
As an adult, Kathryn lived in Oakland, California for 20 years, working as a secretary in a bay area law office. She had lived in Mountain Ranch, a small community in Calaveras County, and had lived in Sonora for ten years. She passed away in a convalescent hospital in Oakdale, Stanislaus County.
Kathryn was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Kenneth and Thomas; and her sisters, Colonna and Pauline. Her remaining sibling, Alice, joined her in heaven on January 9, 1994.
