CALDWELL—Services for Catherine Grace Alford, 85, of Caldwell are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First United Methodist Church in Caldwell…. Burial will be in the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Monday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 8 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Mrs. Alford died Saturday at her home.
She was born in Franklin and was a longtime resident of Caldwell. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Caldwell, the Burleson County Historical Society, the Caldwell Rotary Club and was a Paul Harris Fellow. She played the organ for the First United Methodist Church and the First Presbyterian Church for many years and was a partner with her husband in the operation of Alford & Company Insurance and the Surrey Inn & Restaurant. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the Republic of Texas.
Survivors include her husband, D.L. Alford Jr. of Caldwell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel Lee III and Mary Collerain Alford and James J. and Kathryn Burgess Alford, all of Caldwell; two sisters, Nancy Agnew of Vernon, Texas, and Anne Wear of Grand Prairie, Texas; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter….
