Mr. Aduddell, 67, died of Alzheimer's disease Monday at Silver Leaves Nursing Home in Garland.
The native of Miami, Okla., received bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Howard Payne University in Brownwood.
After beginning his teaching career in Post in the early 1950s, Mr. Aduddell moved to Dallas, where he taught physical education at Henry W. Longfellow Middle School for four years.
From 1958 to 1963, Mr. Aduddell coached baseball and football and taught history at T.J. Rusk Middle School in Dallas. He taught football, swimming and geometry at Bryan Adams High School until 1969.
Mr. Aduddell then worked at Martha Turner Reilly Elementary School, Lincoln High School and David W. Carter High School before retiring as principal of east Metropolitan Alternative Schools in 1983.
He was affiliated with the Dallas chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, which honored him as coach of the year in 1968.
Survivors include daughters Suzann Smith of Dallas and Charlotte Herring of Garland; son Tommy Aduddell of Mesquite; mother Annie K. Aduddell of Corpus Christi; sisters Sally K. Hunter of Houston and Carol Ann McMillen of Corpus Christi; brothers Leon K. Aduddell of Allen and Don J. Aduddell of Corpus Christi; and four grandchildren.
