Mrs. Caroline K. Bast, wife of John H. Bast of Boonsboro, died yesterday at the Washington County hospital of complications. Ill for 15 months, she was 52.
Daughter of the late Rev. Charles M. and Nora (Rapp) Sparrow, she was a native of Pennsylvania and was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Boonsboro.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Josef F. Bikle, Boonsboro; a son, John H., Jr., at home, and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Bast Funeral Home in Boonsboro Tuesday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Donald R. Stonesifer will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Curvin Thompson. Interment will be in the Boonsboro Mausoleum.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home this evening.
