Bonnie Brewster was born to the proud parents of William
Claude Brewster, and Nancy Smith Brewster, September 21,1913 Bonnie was the oldest of nine children. Both parents, and six siblings preceded her in death. She attended Marshall Texas, Public Schools. She met and married Luther Cato on March 29, 1929, this union was blessed with ten children. In 1943 Luther and Bonnie moved to San Francisco, California with their children. They' united with the New Strangers Home Missionary Baptist Church, under the pasturage of the late Reverend UE. Jones. She served faithfully in many capacities as chairperson of the deaconess board, member of the Senior Choir, as a Sunday . School teacher, and the president of the Mothers Board. She united with the Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in Oakland, CA., under the leadership of Reverend Anthony R. Austin, Sr., Pastor where she was afaithful member of the Mothers Board, and an active member of the Sunday School until her untimely death. On the morning of October 2,2002, God called his angel to her reward. "Favorite Bible Passage" St. John: 14: 1-3:"Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God believe also in me. In my father's house are many mansions, if it were not so I would have told you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am there you may be also".
