She was born June 20, 1908 in Washington County, the only child of the late Charles C. and Melissa Jane Dean Goslin.
Mrs. Adamson was a home maker, who liked to sew and quilt.
She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, the Missionary Society of the church and the Morgan Township Society of Farm Women since 1956.
On August 20, 1923 she married Alva W. Adamson, who died December 24, 1969.
Surviving are six sons, Robert W. Adamson and his wife Lesetta, Joseph W. Adamson and his wife Garaldine, James A. Adamson and his wife Lawana and Duane R. Adamson all of the Waynesburg area, John K. Adamson and his wife Linda of Ocala, FL, and Benjamin L. Adamson and his wife Judy of Ravenna, OH; two daughters, Elizabeth J. Lemley of Waynesburg and Betty L. VanDruff and her husband Carol "Bill" of Mt. Morris; 25 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 18 great-great grandchildren and a great-great-great grandchild (making six generations).
Deceased in addition to her husband are two sons, George Adamson who died in May 1986 and Charles Adamson who died in May 2010; three daughters-in-law, Bebe in 1988, Mary Belle in 2002 and Jean in 2009; a son-in-law, Rex Lemley, who died in September 1990; a grandson, Samuel Adamson who died in August 1994; and a great grandson, Noah Havrilesko, who died in 2010.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday, April 29th, in the Behm Funeral Homes Inc., 1477 Jefferson Road. Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2011, with the Rev. Nick Bardo officiating. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Waynesburg.
