THE PARIS NEWS, April 27, 2011, page 3. - CLARKSVILLE - Audrey Lee Ervin Monkhouse, 87, of the Hopewell community in Red River County, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011, at Clarksville Nursing Center.
Graveside services were scheduled at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, at Hopewell Cemetery with the Rev. Ronnie Kellam officiating. Burial was to follow under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.
She was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Red River County the daughter of Bill and Estie Hunkapillar Ervin. She was a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church and was a loving mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Monkhouse; a son, Jimmy Monkhouse; and a grandson, Gerry Eddins.
Survivors include one son, of the Hopewell community; three daughters; her grandchildren; her great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
